Card Counting

Isn’t it illegal? Isn’t it hard? Don’t you have to be a mathematical genius? The answer is NO to all of these questions. It’s easy to learn, but it’s not everything. When casinos play with multiple decks of cards, the effect of counting is greatly diminished. This is because the count becomes "diluted" by the number of decks in use. In addition, the casino will only deal approximatey 60% to 75% of the cards in the shoe. This means in a 6 deck Blackjack game, only about 4 decks will be dealt before all 6 decks are re-shuffled. You need to balance the skill of card counting with strategy.
